Sometimes, an Islander has to take their expertise to the next level. As a fan of the franchise and a long-time player, I find myself wanting more skill development and character progression for my character. What if Animal Crossing: New Horizons had a skill tree?
I designed a UI system based on the existing visual style of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Starting from studying the UI/UX design of the game, I created the basic structure of player progression, to different categories of icons, and finally, a low-fidelity prototype in Figma.
This project is still in the process of being implemented in game engine. My goal is to have a fully functional Unity demo in WebGL.
